In the Italian Sprint Championship the following classes will be organised:
M-W YOUNG (under 16), M-W JUNIOR (under 20), M-W SENIOR (M-W ELITE, WRE), M-W MASTER (over 35), M-W SUPERMASTER (over 50)
In the entry form for the M-W SENIOR class the WRE code of the athletes must be specified. Only italian citizens compete for the national title, while all classes are open to athletes of all countries. In addition, the following classes will be organised, but will not compete for the national championship: M-W12, SCHOOL, BEGINNERS
In the Italian Cup Long Distance the following classes will be organised:
M-W12, M-W14, M-W16, M-W18, M-W20, M-W ELITE, M-W A, M-W B, M-W C, M-W35, M-W40, M-W45, M-W50, M-W55, M-W60, M-W65, M70, SCHOOL, BEGINNERS, OPEN.
According to national rules, Italian Cup points will be assigned only to the classes valid for the ranking score and to athletes registered for an italian club. Italian runners can be entered in the M-W ELITE class only if they have more than 60 points for men and 45 for women, in the national ranking 2010. Entries in the ELITE class and in all other classes for non italian runners are allowed without any restriction.
